Bolt Food orders arrive in Ordering.Tools next to your own. You accept or reject, mark ready, picked up and delivered — Bolt Food is told at every step. Menu, sold-out dishes, opening hours and pauses go out from the same place.
Bolt Food brings you guests who order in the Bolt app. Ordering.Tools is where your team handles every order. The two-way integration puts each Bolt Food order on your orders board, kitchen screen and printer within seconds, with every line and the guest's notes, and waits for your team to accept it.
What you do in Ordering.Tools goes back to Bolt Food: accept or reject, ready for pickup, and — for pickup and your own delivery — picked up and delivered. Your menu, sold-out dishes, weekly opening hours and pauses are sent from the same admin, so your Bolt Food store shows what the kitchen can actually do.
Bolt Food orders sit next to website, QR and other delivery orders. Same alarm, same screen, same printer.
Accept or reject from the orders board, the kitchen screen or your POS if it is connected. Bolt Food hears about it at once, so the guest is not left waiting.
Publish your delivery hours to Bolt Food, keep them in step automatically, and pause the store for a set time when the kitchen is full.
The menu is published to Bolt Food from Ordering.Tools. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and 18+ tags and each dish's serving hours go with it.
During onboarding Bolt Food creates the connection for your store and gives it a provider id. Ordering.Tools looks after the integration keys — there is nothing to install.
Add it in Admin → Integrations → Bolt Food and test the connection. The test checks the link without changing anything on Bolt Food.
Pick the menu for Bolt Food, publish it with one button, and publish your delivery hours. Switch on live stock and live hours if you want them to follow by themselves.
Accept each order, cook, mark it ready. The rest of Bolt Food's flow follows from the statuses your team already sets.
Each order is created in Ordering.Tools with its items, sizes, add-ons, discounts and notes, and starts the same alarm, kitchen screen and printing as your own orders.
Bolt Food orders are delivered by Bolt couriers, by your own couriers, or collected by the guest. Ordering.Tools sends each type exactly the steps Bolt Food expects.
Bolt Food is its own channel in the pause menu. Pause it for 30 minutes or an hour and it reopens by itself when the time is up.
Publish your menu with one button. Ordering.Tools reads it back and tells you it is live only when Bolt Food shows it.
Bolt Food orders join the same list as everything else. The kitchen cooks in order, not tablet by tablet.
Your courier marks picked up and delivered in the driver app, and Bolt Food is told each time.
When the guest collects, mark the order completed. Bolt Food receives picked up.
Pause Bolt Food for an hour from the orders board. Your website and other channels keep taking orders.
A dish with its own schedule goes to Bolt Food with its serving hours, so it can only be ordered when you serve it.
Change your delivery hours once. With live hours on, Bolt Food gets the new week straight away.
Bolt Food is the food delivery service in the Bolt app. For a restaurant, taking its orders usually means a separate device, a separate menu and separate opening hours to keep up to date. Ordering.Tools connects Bolt Food to the place where your team already handles orders, in both directions.
Getting the order in is half the work. Bolt Food also needs to hear when you accept it, when the food is ready and, for your own deliveries, when it left and when it arrived. When those steps come from the statuses your team already sets, nobody taps a second screen and the guest sees accurate progress.
Bolt Food expects every order to be accepted within its time limit. Ordering.Tools rings the new-order alarm until someone acts. If Bolt Food ever pauses your store, the Bolt Food card shows it, and reopening stays a deliberate click by your team — as Bolt Food asks.
Bolt Food asks integrations to hide guest details after 24 hours. Ordering.Tools clears the guest's name, phone and address and the courier's details from Bolt Food orders after about a day, while items and amounts stay for your accounting.
Yes, in both directions. Bolt Food orders arrive on your orders board, kitchen screen and printer; accept, reject, ready, picked up and delivered go back to Bolt Food; and your menu, sold-out dishes, opening hours and pauses are published from Ordering.Tools.
Yes. For your own deliveries Ordering.Tools sends ready, picked up and delivered as your team or courier marks them. For orders carried by Bolt couriers it sends accept and ready, and the courier's pickup moves the order to out for delivery.
No. Each order waits for your team, with the new-order alarm, so nobody accepts food the kitchen cannot make. Accepting from the orders board or the kitchen screen sends the accept to Bolt Food at once.
Yes. Bolt Food is its own channel in the pause menu. Pause it for a set time and it reopens by itself, while your website, QR menu and other channels keep taking orders. Stopping all channels at once is one click as well.
Yes. Publish your weekly delivery hours from Ordering.Tools, shifts past midnight included. With live hours on, every schedule change is sent automatically. For a holiday, pause Bolt Food for the day.
Bolt Food handles the guest's payment and settles with the restaurant. Ordering.Tools records the order with no payment to collect, so neither your till nor your couriers are asked to take money for it.
