BORICA Virtual POS

BORICA Virtual POS for Your Restaurant's Online Orders

Take card payments online through the virtual POS terminal from your bank. We prepare the key and the certificate request, the money goes to your bank account, and the kitchen sees only paid orders.

What the BORICA integration does

BORICA processes the card payments behind the virtual POS terminals that Bulgarian banks give to merchants. If your bank offers you a virtual POS, Ordering.Tools connects it to your ordering website, QR menus and table bills. The guest pays on BORICA's secure payment page and comes straight back to the order.

Getting started usually stalls on the technical part: a private key, a certificate request (CSR) in BORICA's exact format, certificates for test and for production. Our team prepares the key and the request with you, Ordering.Tools checks the certificate BORICA sends back, and it warns you before that certificate expires.

What changes for your restaurant

Money straight to your bank

Payments go through your bank's virtual POS to your merchant account. Ordering.Tools does not stand in between.

We handle the key and the CSR

We generate the private key and the certificate request to BORICA's specification. The request goes to BORICA; the key goes only into your integration, encrypted.

Paid orders only

An order reaches the kitchen only after BORICA's signed answer confirms the payment. Abandoned payments never appear.

Test first, then go live

Your test and production terminals sit side by side. One switch takes you to live payments once the bank approves.

How to connect BORICA

1

Get a virtual POS from your bank

Ask your bank for a virtual POS terminal for online card payments. The bank issues a Terminal ID (TID) and a Merchant ID for test and for production.

2

Key and certificate request

We generate a 2048-bit private key and a CSR with your domain, TID and company details. You upload the CSR to BORICA's merchant portal or hand it to your bank.

3

Connect it in Ordering.Tools

Enter the TID, Merchant ID and merchant name, upload the key and the certificate BORICA returns, and copy the return address (BACKREF) into BORICA's portal.

4

Test, then switch to live

Pay a few test orders with BORICA's test cards. When the bank activates production, switch off test mode and take real payments.

What you get

BORICA's secure payment page

The guest goes to BORICA's payment page, enters the card, confirms with their bank and comes back to the order.

  • 3-D Secure with the guest's own bank
  • Your merchant name on the payment page
  • Messages from the bank to the cardholder shown on the order page
  • For pickup, delivery and table bills

Apple Pay and Google Pay on BORICA's page

When your bank enables wallets on the terminal, guests can pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay on BORICA's page. On a computer, Apple Pay shows a QR code to scan with an iPhone.

  • A separate wallet option at checkout
  • You choose which wallets to show
  • Enabled by your bank on the terminal
  • The same confirmation as a card payment

Key, CSR and certificates in order

The technical side of the terminal is done to BORICA's specification for internet payments.

  • RSA 2048-bit key and CSR in BORICA's format
  • Company details in Latin letters, as BORICA requires
  • The certificate is checked against the key on upload
  • Expiry shown, with a warning 30 days ahead

Confirmed before it cooks

BORICA's answer is signed. Ordering.Tools verifies the signature before it marks anything as paid and sends the order to the venue.

  • Only verified answers change an order
  • Unpaid orders stay out of the kitchen
  • Paid orders that got stuck move on within a minute
  • Pre-authorisation for dishes sold by weight, when the bank enables it

Where it fits

A restaurant with a virtual POS from its bank

Your bank offered you a virtual POS, but you have no website to use it on. Ordering.Tools gives you one.

A delivery evening

Guests pay by card when they order. The courier carries food, not change, and the kitchen works only on paid orders.

QR menus at the tables

Guests open the table's bill on their phone and pay it through BORICA with a card or a phone wallet.

Moving from test to live

Test and production terminals are stored side by side. When the bank approves, one switch takes you live.

Certificate renewal

The admin shows when each certificate expires and warns you 30 days ahead, so you can renew it with your bank in time.

A group with several restaurants

Each restaurant connects its own terminal, so every payment lands with the right company.

Virtual POS terminal for restaurants with BORICA

A virtual POS terminal lets a restaurant accept card payments on its website. In Bulgaria, banks issue these terminals through BORICA. Ordering.Tools connects the terminal to a complete ordering system: website, QR menus, pickup, delivery and table bills, with every payment tied to its order.

From bank contract to first payment

Your bank gives you a Terminal ID and a Merchant ID. A private key and a certificate request are prepared to BORICA's specification, the request is uploaded to BORICA, and BORICA issues a certificate. Ordering.Tools stores the key encrypted, checks the certificate against it and gives you the return address to register with BORICA.

What the guest sees

At checkout the guest chooses card payment and lands on BORICA's payment page with your merchant name. They enter the card and confirm with their bank, or pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay if your terminal allows it. Then they return to the order page and see that it is paid.

Why the order waits for BORICA

An order paid online stays hidden until BORICA's signed answer arrives and is verified. A guest who closes the payment page leaves no order behind. If a payment is confirmed but the order does not move on, a check every minute finds it and sends it to the venue.

BORICA virtual POS — questions

How does a restaurant get a BORICA virtual POS terminal?

From its bank. The bank that will receive your card payments issues a virtual POS terminal with a Terminal ID and a Merchant ID, usually one for testing and one for production. Ordering.Tools connects that terminal to your ordering website.

Who prepares the private key and the CSR for BORICA?

We do, together with you. We generate a 2048-bit RSA key and a certificate request to BORICA's specification, with your domain, Terminal ID and company details. The CSR goes to BORICA; the private key goes only into your Ordering.Tools integration, encrypted.

Can guests pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay through BORICA?

Yes, if your bank enables wallets on your terminal. Guests pick the wallet option at checkout and pay on BORICA's page. On a computer, Apple Pay shows a QR code that the guest scans with an iPhone.

When does the kitchen see an order paid through BORICA?

Only after BORICA's signed answer confirms the payment and Ordering.Tools verifies it. Until then the order is invisible: no alarm, no ticket. A guest who abandons the payment page leaves nothing behind for your team to clean up.

Can I test BORICA payments before going live?

Yes. The test and production terminals are stored separately in the same integration. Use BORICA's test cards on the test terminal, then switch off test mode when your bank activates production.

Where does the money from BORICA payments go?

To your merchant account at the bank that issued the virtual POS. Ordering.Tools sends the guest to BORICA and records the result; it never holds the money. Settlement follows your agreement with the bank.
