Guests pay for website and QR orders on Viva.com's checkout page — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and the methods you have switched on. The money goes to your own Viva account, and the kitchen gets the order once it is paid.
Viva.com, formerly Viva Wallet, is a payment provider many restaurants already use for card terminals and online payments. Ordering.Tools is your ordering website and QR menu. The integration connects the two: when a guest chooses to pay by card, they go to Viva's Smart Checkout page, pay, and come straight back to their order.
You connect your own Viva merchant account with your own credentials, and payments are made to you under your agreement with Viva. Ordering.Tools checks every payment with Viva before it marks an order paid — and only then sends it to the kitchen, the POS and the guest's inbox.
A card order waits until Viva confirms the payment. Then it lands in the kitchen, the guest gets the confirmation and the POS receives it. No unpaid food leaves the pass.
Apple Pay and Google Pay run on Viva's page. Add a Google Pay merchant ID and Google Pay can appear as a button right on your own checkout, with no redirect.
Viva's page opens in your brand colour, with the guest's email and name already filled in. Guests recognise where they are and finish faster.
Viva sends every payment on your account to one address — including the card terminals on the floor. Ordering.Tools reads which payment source each one came from and acts only on its own online orders.
In your Viva account, create a payment source for online orders and paste in the success and failure addresses shown on the Viva.com card in your admin. Note its 4-digit source code.
In Admin → Integrations → Payments → Viva.com, enter your Merchant ID, Client ID and Client Secret. Add the API key if you want refunds from the admin. Tick Demo for a demo account.
Test connection makes a real call to Viva. Fetch or paste the verification key, add the webhook address in Viva and subscribe to the payment created, failed and reversal events.
Switch the integration on and tick Apple Pay and Google Pay if your account has them. Guests now see Viva.com as a card option at checkout.
Guests pay on Viva's own hosted page, reached by a full redirect, and return to their order page when they are done.
Each wallet is a separate switch. The checkout picks the right path for the guest's device.
Nothing is marked paid on the browser's word. The return page re-reads the transaction from Viva, and Viva's webhook confirms it as well.
Handle the money after the order from the same admin, without logging in to Viva for every case.
Your floor terminals run on Viva. Take online payments into the same merchant account; the terminals keep working exactly as they do.
Delivery orders are paid before they reach the kitchen. The driver has nothing to collect, and nobody cooks an order that was never paid.
Guests scan the QR code, order, and pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay on their own phone.
Hold the top of the range on the guest's card, weigh the steak, and charge what it actually came to.
Branches can use the main restaurant's Viva account if you turn that on, or connect their own. A branch's own account always wins.
Refund the payment from the admin. It shows as refunded, and the order history stays complete.
Viva.com (Viva Wallet) is a European payment provider with card terminals and online payments. A restaurant that takes orders on its own website or from QR menus needs those payments tied to the order itself: paid, confirmed, sent to the kitchen. Ordering.Tools does that with Viva's Smart Checkout.
Viva's checkout runs on its own page, not inside a frame on yours. That is how Viva keeps Apple Pay, saved cards and redirect-based local methods working — inside a frame, Viva switches them off. The guest leaves for a moment, pays on a page Viva controls, and lands back on their order.
Many venues already hold a Viva merchant account for their terminals. Online orders can be paid into the same account through a separate payment source. Viva notifies the platform about every payment on the account, and Ordering.Tools acts only on payments from your online source.
Demo and production are separate Viva systems with separate credentials. Connect a demo account first, place a test order with Viva's test cards, then switch to your production credentials. If the two get mixed up, Test connection says so in plain words instead of a bare error code.
Yes. Ordering.Tools connects to Viva.com Smart Checkout. Guests pay for website and QR menu orders on Viva's page with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the order reaches your kitchen once Viva confirms the payment.
A Viva merchant account with a payment source for online orders, plus the Merchant ID, Client ID and Client Secret from Viva's API settings. An API key is optional; it enables refunds from the admin and fetching the webhook key with one click.
Yes. You connect your own Viva merchant account with your own credentials, so card payments for your orders are made to that account under your agreement with Viva.
Yes, if they are enabled on your Viva account. Apple Pay runs on Viva's page. Google Pay can run on Viva's page or, with a Google Pay merchant ID, as a button directly on your checkout.
The payment still counts. Viva's webhook confirms it independently of the browser, the order moves to the kitchen and the guest gets the confirmation email. If the return and the webhook both arrive, the guest still gets one email.
No. Viva sends every payment on the merchant account to the same webhook. Ordering.Tools checks the payment source of each one and acts only on payments that belong to its own online orders.
